About Us

Gales Solicitors was established in Winton in 1948 by John Gale. For over 65 years we have been working in Bournemouth, providing legal advice to the people of Bournemouth and the surrounding area.

Now located on Winton high street, Gales Solicitors continue to deliver a professional service from a local base. Since the firm’s first days, we have offered a service that covers most legal areas, to individuals and local businesses alike.

To this day, we successfully provide a professional service that is delivered with a friendly attitude. Much of our work comes from referrals from other satisfied clients many of whom have been using the firm for many years. By taking a person-centred approach, we build relationships with our clients that last for many years to come.

Our Team

Until recently, our senior partner was Richard Williams, who has worked with the firm for over 40 years. Richard has now stepped down from his partnership position, although he continues to work with the firm as a part time consultant.

Our senior partner is Matthew Moore, who joined the firm in March 2000. Having enjoyed life at Gales so much, he has been with us ever since.

There are two other partners, Sarah England and Barbara Champion, who is one of the few Legal Executives to have become a partner of an English legal firm.

We are also privileged to have as our probate lawyer the CILEx Graduate of the Year, Kathryn Cole. Despite the many hours she puts in at Gales Solicitors, Kathryn still scored the top marks for any Ilex student in the country in 2015.
